Sovereign have successfully completed a large-scale project for Thorntons Chocolates, which involved new signage for a large number of Thorntons stores throughout the North of England and the Republic of Ireland.
Having carried out site surveys and compiled visual proposals for the subtly updated Thorntons logo, the Sovereign team went on to manage the full Corporate Imaging process at all the sites. The process includes planning applications, manufacturing, delivery and installation. The full project was delivered on an ambitious 12-week fast track timescale.
Sovereign landed the Thorntons project through an e-tender process, after competing with several other signage market leaders.
The Thorntons signs supplied by Sovereign consist of folded and fabricated 2.5mm aluminium fascias; these are CNC cut, powder coated and then vinyl wrapped with laminated digital print in Thorntons’ trademark brown. Text is 10mm opal pushed through acrylic, with vinyl sub-text, face applied then backed off with opal acrylic.
