Job Centre Plus is an £800m long-term initiative of the Department for Work and Pensions, which has involved the creation of 868 customer facing offices and 23 contact centres across the UK, as well as the full refurbishment of 77 benefit centres.
Since 2001, the Sovereign team has provided full internal and external signage for over half of these sites, predominantly in the North of England. The signs were created to reflect the new, contemporary and functional ambience of the Job Centres, and received an excellent response from the client and visitors.
The Department for Work and Pensions has presented Sovereign Corporate Imaging with a special award, in recognition of their contribution to the award-winning Job Centre Plus project. "Sovereign have been a valued member of our project since the very beginning", says Mr Peter O'Connor, Works Programme Manager at DWP Estates, "Sovereign have successfully built relationships with the national contractors and contributed to the smooth running of the roll-out."
